Welcome to our ecological retreat center

Come, enjoy and participate in the development of our Eco-Yoga Retreat Center on the shores of the Vilcanota River, surrounded by the amazing Andean Mountains in the Valley of Cusco. , one hour from the center of Cusco. The Eco Yoga Retreat is a place for living with nature, doing yoga and practicing spanish.

Our Center
We have a nice adobe house with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and river and a octagonal meditation center. We have one large room for women and one for men. You are welcome to bring your own tent for privacy. We recommend you bring your own sleeping bag and flashlight. Currently water supply is at a rural stage and we have solar energy.

Yoga Practice - Vinyasa Flow
Gentle but effective practice of essential body postures,breathing exercises and meditation techniques designed to enhance overall health and cultivate spiritual awareness. We will share the experience of exploring the expansiveness of our mind, breath and bodies, bringing consciousness into all aspects of our life.

Our Yoga school
Our yoga school has it roots in the bhakti yoga practice. Therefore we chant mantras in the mornings and evenings, Study the yoga texts such as the Bhagavat Gita, offer our food and do sadhana (spiritual practices)

Location
Our "Eco Yoga Retreat " is strategically located in the Sacred Valley of Cusco, (3,000 m above sea level), one hour south of Cusco by Bus and 20 min. from Pisac. The nearest town,San Salvador, is only 10 minutes away from the Land. There are some small shops closer where you can buy needed items. Internet access is a 15 minute walk to the nearest town of Vicho. For international calling and laundry services, you can go to Pisac (20 min.) or to Cusco (one hour).

Our goal is to create an Eco Yoga Community where people can encounter a spiritual environment, where the priciples of a yogic life style can be practiced. Yoga classes and retreats are offered along with workshops in diverse arts and holistic sciences, organic gardening and ecological building.

Volunteer Services: Our volunteer retreat center is more a vivencial "living" retreat where we share rooms and space with others, help to organize and prepare the meals together and have a life experience with others who are on their spiritual journeys. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to experience a different culture and way of living.

Volunteer positions include helping with and learning about vegetarian cooking, organic agriculture, environmentally friendly construction/design projects, yoga, meditation, philosophy.
You can also bring your creative energies to our project.

How to arrive: if you are in Cusco, take a taxi to the bus station next to the Stadium "Garcilaso" and take the bus that goes to San Salvador Get off the bus 3 min. after passing the village of Vicho and 10 minutes before San Salvador. Ask to get off at the"Eco Yoga" stop. The bus costs 2.50 soles.

Weekly Cost: $75.00 dollars (cover 3 vegetarian meals, residence and a dayli yoga class) Payment and copy of passport is required upon arrival.

Commitment: Usually the time requested for volunteers is at least 4 hours/day. But the most important thing is that you can have the space in the time where you can meet with yourself. While a volunteer in the Eco-Farm we ask that you refrain from smoking, alcohol and practice vegetarianism.

Update on our development
At the present moment we have finish the kitchen, putting in floors, plastering the walls with mud, planting trees, making the roof for the yoga studio and putting solar energy.
